I’d highly recommend Pippa, her training techniques, advice and tips have been incredibly helpful and have truly enhanced the level of fun we’ve achieved during both our puppy playtimes and training, creating a stress free way of creating boundaries in the home and interaction out on walks

Birdie loved the sessions and so did I. We completed ‘puppy training level’ and will definitely continue onto Pippa’s more experienced classes

The puppy training classes have been really helpful for both myself and Barney. The notes each week are very informative and great to refer back to you if you need to go over tips learnt. Barney thoroughly enjoyed Pippa’s classes and meeting up with lots of pups too!

Pluto finished his course today. I am extremely happy with all the course and you are super friendly as the trainer! We really enjoyed weekly lessons and hope to catch up in September 🐾

Oscar is a rescue collie cross and sadly only has 3 legs.  This has posed its own challenges when out walking when he can get nervous around other dogs.  Pippa has been brilliant at helping us with some of the issues we are facing.  She's made me feel more positive in how we deal with this. We are still a work in progress but am now focused on following Pippa's advice and training plan. 

About 6 months ago, a much bigger breed of dog decided I was a toy, grabbed me in his jaws and shook me around until his owner finally managed to get him to release me. It was terrifying but thankfully I wasn't injured. Since then my interaction with other dogs has slowly dwindled to the point that in the last 2-3 months, I have become anxious, fearful and sometimes very reactive when meeting other dogs. I needed help and Mum found Pippa, who is teaching me to be more confident and in control of my emotions (as well as helping Mum with tricks and training skills to help distract me).

Today we had a major win.  Not one but two big breeds came up to me and let me have a good sniff.  I didn't react at all. Mum really needed that win.

So thank you Pippa!  We are by no means on the other side but you are really helping!

Pippa was great! She gave me some great tips and my puppy Buddy loved the classes and met some great little puppy friends. Would definitely recommend and will use again for other courses!

Pippa's puppy classes are amazing! There were times when I really struggled with my pup but with Pippa's classes and hard work from Chester, there was light at the end of the tunnel! The classes were so amazing I'm waiting for the next classes to book on. I want to say the biggest thank you to Pippa from one proud dog mum and her fur baby 🐾

I've been meaning to contact you to let you know how Bobby is doing. 

I'm so happy with how he has progressed thanks to your visits to us. The new door has been a huge help with the barking and Bobby is a lot more relaxed now he isn't on patrol the whole time. He still barks when people come to the door which is fine but it feels much more manageable thanks to the techniques you suggested. Also the go to bed command has been absolutely brilliant - as has the toy you suggested I bought (stuffed with treats). I'm trying to give this to Bobby before someone comes over to wear him out and distract him and it's working!

I feel much more relaxed when he does bark for attention although this isn't very often and when we ignore him he soon stops. You really have been a huge support and now that I am calmer about things Bobby definitely is - obviously we still have our moments but I wouldn't change his personality!!

Thank you Pippa and not forgetting Otto, several weeks of 1-2-1's what a difference, my pup can now say Hello to other dogs when off lead and on lead without being a grump! I too have much more confidence in how to read him and distract him when needed. I also have a pretty reasonably behaved dog 😁

Pippa has been fantastic. She has really helped us to train our dog into a beautifully behaved gentleman. She makes it very easy.

Pippa has been absolutley amazing! Both with our very challenged rescue dog and new puppy!

Pippa is amazing. Our little spaniel has come on leaps and bounds with Pippa. We have 1-2-1 lessons (so I can learn) and group sessions too. Pippa has also taken Bertie out when I have been away so his training isn’t disrupted. Bertie adores Pippa and I know he is always having fun with her whilst learning. 110% recommended!

We’ve just finished the beginners puppy course with Pippa. It’s really helped us grow in confidence and our puppy has learnt manners and new skills and we can continue to build on these moving forwards. I have two dogs and we had four private training sessions with Pippa. I discovered that my dogs are actually quite clever 😊picked up commands really quickly and it was me that actually needed the training and confidence building 😳😉We trained in a really lovely, safe environment and we continue to use Pippa's training methods. Very happy and would recommend. Thanks Pippa.

I can thoroughly recommend Pippa - presented her with a particularly single minded young Flat Coated Retriever who was leading us a merry dance when it came to recall on walks and at home. Opted for the 4 session course, and delighted that by the end of our last session today I have a reformed dog who can now enjoy off lead walks!

We’ve been training with Pippa on a one to one with our two dogs we rehomed.So far we have seen amazing results from Pippa’s training methods and would totally recommend her as a trainer.

Our two needed recall,lead training, general manners in and out the house,one has a high prey drive and the other loved to pull towards cars and more. Pippa has given us ways in which to distract them in a positive way to make their walk more enjoyable.The one that went for cars now doesn’t,their walking so much better on their leads. We’ve learnt so much it’s hard to list!

We have loved training with Pippa ,she really knows her stuff and you’ll see improvements straight away if you stick to her methods

Can’t recommend Pippa’s training enough. We did the 6 week puppy training which was amazing, so so helpful to make sure us humans know what to do too! Pippa is a real professional and very friendly and approachable too! We really enjoyed the classes and will be booking again soon!

We’ve completed both the puppy and improvers classes with Pippa and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Having a puppy can be hard work so the course was invaluable with positive training. Plus it’s really nice to speak to other puppy owners and hear you’re all facing similar challenges.

Pippa has worked wonders with our bouncy young Cockapoo. We have thoroughly enjoyed attending her training walks and holiday hounds sessions, and have picked up lots of excellent tips and techniques for keeping our dog calm and focused. We thoroughly recommend The Contented Hound!

Rolo has always been very well behaved on walks but recently we had noticed his recall was becoming less strong.  Pippa gave us some simple and easy to follow exercises which quickly improved this.  She also helped us inject more fun and play into our walks and how to stimulate him and Fig at home.  As a result, Rolo is now a much more engaged dog and his recall and attention has signficantly improved.
